Trade Table Marquee @ £75 tables will be pre-allocated.
1. You must provide your own marquee or gazebo as required. (except in Trade Table Marquee) The full tender amount must be paid by the 21st June 2025. Entrance tickets will not be forwarded without payment. The Pitch fee is non-refundable except in the event of the cancellation of the Southern District Agricultural Show. A Pack with Vehicle Passes and Tickets will be sent by the 20th July.
2. All Trade Stand Holders must have adequate Third-Party public liability and provide A VALID copy of certification. We confirm that we will take responsibility to prevent any injury/damage to anyone on my/our trade stand plot and will provide adequate fire exit(s) where applicable. I confirm that a current risk assessment has been completed. The IOM SDAS may require completion of a specific Risk Assessment Form.
3. I confirm we will not hold the Southern District Agricultural Society liable for any loss or damage to my/our property whilst on the Showfield
4. I accept that I will be contacted by the Southern District Agricultural Society regarding updates and details regarding the Southern District Agricultural Show by Email, Phone and WhatsApp.
5. Vehicle drivers are asked to drive slowly around the Show Field, not exceeding 5mph and to show courtesy and consideration to pedestrians and other exhibitors.
6. It is the responsibility of all traders to comply with relevant Isle of Man Trading Standards and Environmental Health Legislation in respect of stands exhibits and merchandise. All Stand Holders must have available for inspection all Hygiene Certificates, Gas/generator Testing Certificates where applicable, and risk assessments including fire risk. All generators must be up to current standards. Noisy generators will not be permitted on the showfield.
7. The Show Supervisors will allocate your space. Their decision will be final. Booking is for plot only - You must not sublet your stand space. Trade Exhibitors must have visited the Showfield to locate their stand before 6pm on the Friday Evening.
8. All units and Trade Stands must be in place by 8.00am on both days of the show and preferably be in place by Friday evening. The show opens to the public at 9.30am on both days. All Stands must remain open until earliest 5pm on both show days. Vehicles will not be permitted to return to the showfield until after 6pm. Stands may not be removed until the Sunday after 6pm. Livestock will be given priority to leave the showfield. All units and equipment must be removed from the showfield By Tuesday 29th July 2025.
9. Security - there will be volunteer night watchmen on the showfield for the nights of Friday, Saturday and Sunday, however, the society cannot be held responsible for the loss or damage of any items left on the showfield at any time. We recommend that property is removed or stored securely overnight, and that you take appropriate precautions to protect your property.
10. Thewheeliebinsontheshowfieldmustnotbeusedfortradewaste.Alltradestandwastemustberemovedfromsiteordepositedin the large skip provided. The society is implementing a recycling/waste reduction strategy and your support for this would be appreciated. Biodegradable/recyclable packaging is encouraged.
11. Non-resident traders must obtain a licence to trade in the isle of man; applications forms are available for download from the isle of man government website: http://www.gov.im. Copies of licences must be forwarded with forms.
12. Food and drink– the SDAS reserve the right to sell or control refreshments on the show field. The serving of refreshments to clients by trade exhibitors will be limited to complimentary light refreshments and small samples.
13. Balloons, silly string or similar items are not permitted on the show field due to hazards caused to livestock & the environment.
14. Flyers - the handing out of flyers is limited from stand only. Traders are not permitted to distribute flyers around the showfield or car parks. A £50.00 clean-up fee will be charged for breach of this rule.
15. My contact details will be forwarded to Manx Radio, Energy FM and IOM Newspapers for advertising opportunities in relation to the Southern Show.
