The Southern District Agricultural Society is committed to the new standards introduced by the European Data Protection legislation (GDPR), and will only use your personal data in order to administer the products or services you request from us. The Southern District Agricultural Society is a ‘Data Controller’ as recognised by the current Data Protection legislation. Information on our processing activities and the rights that are provided to you under Data Protection legislation are noted below.

PROCESSING INFORMATION FAIRLY AND LAWFULLY

The Southern District Agricultural Society processes your personal data only where:

  • A contract has been entered into that allows us to; or

  • We are required to by our Regulators or Legal Authorities.

The Southern District Agricultural Society will only collect personal data that is essential to administer the products or services that you have asked us to provide and to comply with regulatory and statutory requirements. The data that we collect may include:

  • Full name, date of birth, age
  • Personal and/or business contact details, including address, telephone numbers and email addresses;
  • Financial information (including bank account details);

WHY IS YOUR DATA PROCESSED?

The Southern District Agricultural Society collects the above personal data for the purpose of:

  • Creation and ongoing administration of the structure implemented for you;

WHERE WE PROCESS AND STORE YOUR DATA

Your data will be processed and held securely in physical or electronic format within the offices and IT systems of The Southern District Agricultural Society in the Isle of Man.

We may also make your personal data available to third parties who are providing relevant services for one of the above data processing purposes, such as professional or legal advisors, banking institutions, etc.

We may be required to share your data with external providers outside of the Isle of Man or European Economic Area (“EEA”).

The processing of your personal data is necessary in order for us to administer your structure.

For the purposes set out above, you expressly consent to the processing (including the disclosures and transfers described above) of your personal data by The Southern District Agricultural Society or third parties as set out above.

RETAINING INFORMATION

We will only retain your personal information during the lifetime of our business relationship with you plus any statutory retention period required.

The Southern District Agricultural Society has in place a formal retention policy for the personal data information that we hold. All personal data held past these specified retention periods will be destroyed in accordance with this policy.

YOUR RIGHTS

The Southern District Agricultural Society will, upon request provide you with the following information:

  • What personal data we hold about you;
  • The purposes of the processing;
  • The recipients to whom the personal data has been disclosed; and
  • How long we intend to store your personal data; and
  • Any other information permitted under the current legislation.

If you believe that we hold any incomplete or inaccurate data about you, please contact us immediately to request us to correct and/or complete the information we hold for you. You also have the right to request erasure of your personal data or to restrict processing in accordance with the data protection laws, providing that there is not a legal reason for us to retain it or process it.

LODGING A COMPLAINT

The Southern District Agricultural Society only processes your personal information in compliance with this privacy notice and in accordance with the relevant data protection laws.
