The Southern District Agricultural Show
Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st July 2016
This year, the Southern District Agricultural Show will be held at the beautiful Great Meadow Estate, in Castletown, home to the Show for over 40 years with the kind permission of Mr & Mrs R S D Riggall.
We are now 102 years young. The agricultural and rural focus of the Show remains its core theme and this continues to be the driving force behind its organisation. We are lucky to have the best of the Islands livestock, equine, canine, poultry and small animal exhibits on display at the Show, as well as farm and Garden produce, confectionery and crafts. The Trade and Catering platform is well established and many independent businesses can find an affordable way to trade and promote their business and local products.
Every effort is made to cater for the tastes and interests of the thousands of visitors that attend the event each year and our programme is constantly updated to reflect and respond to those interests.
Entrance fee for the Show:
SATURDAY £5.00 for adults, £1 for under 16’s
SUNDAY £3.00 for adults, Free for under 16’s
Dogs are welcome both days of the Show, but are to be kept under control and away from livestock. Please clean up after them also.
There will be a one way system for traffic in operation on the Malew Road running from Billown towards
Castletown. Please pay attention to the signs and be patient when arriving and leaving.
