WELL BEHAVED DOGS ON LEADS ARE VERY WELCOME
The run-up to the Show is a busy one for everybody taking part and we would like to thank all of you for your support for the Show, we hope it is worthwhile! We are really please to see so many people taking part and such interest from the younger members of the farming community, it is very encouraging.
The agricultural and rural focus of the Show remains its core theme and this continues to be the driving force behind its organisation. We have the best of the Islands livestock, equine, canine, poultry and small animal exhibits on display at the Show, as well as farm and Garden produce, confectionery and crafts. The Trade and Catering platform is well established and many independent businesses can find an affordable way to trade and promote their business and local products.
The Show is fully booked for Trade Stands once again and there’s plenty to see from agricultural machinery to crafts. The produce on offer is truly mouthwatering and we endeavour to ensure that all producers and caterers are using Manx Produce. And for those that have asked, the Beer Tent is on!
Plenty of Local entertainment on throughout the weekend, and with free parking it’s probably the best value day out you can get!
Your dogs are welcome on both days of the Show. Please keep them on leads and away from the animals exhibited at the Show - they don’t know your dog is friendly and could get spooked. Please do not take your dogs into the Fur & Feather Tent either - rabbits and poultry will be stressed by the presence of a dog, even a small one.
Please also remember to clean up after your dog. We are guests on agricultural land and dog poo is not just unpleasant for other visitors but toxic to grazing animals.
A One Way system will be in operation from 10am to 5pm on the Saturday, running southerly from Billown Cross Four Ways towards Alexandra Bridge, Castletown.
The Committee reccommend that you arrive early for parking, and allow for traffic build up during the day. We will do our best to get you on and off the car parks so be patient and respect our volunteers.
